Meet the Founder
Esad M. Akar
Managing Partner
Esad graduated from Florida Atlantic University's Master's program in Computer Science and worked in the field as a software engineer for 6 years for organizations in the USA and Europe. In the meantime, he began honing an investment philosophy and strategy based on value investing, and began growing his own personal wealth. Then in 2024-2025, after friends and family members expressed interest in his investment approach and results, he decided to establish Roka Capital, a new investment fund.
Our Core Philosophy
We are business owners, not speculators. Our approach rests on discipline, patience, deep fundamental research, and a relentless focus on capital preservation and long-term compounding.
We scan global stock markets, with a main focus on Türkiye and the United States, to identify businesses at prices that offer a significant margin of safety. We treat the market as a tool to serve us, not to instruct us. See our Investment Guide for more details.
Aligning Interests
At Roka Capital, aligning interests with our partners is fundamental.
- We view our investors as partners for life, joined in a mission to continually build and grow wealth together.
- We invest nearly all of our personal wealth in the fund. If we believe an opportunity is worthy of our own capital, it is worthy of yours. Conversely, we would never invest your capital in something we would not put our own capital in.
- We charge no management fees that erode your returns over time. Our only compensation comes from performance fees—we only profit when our partners do.
The Next Step
Our goal is to establish a formal private fund under a licensed portfolio management company in Turkey. We will then open to new accredited investors who share our philosophy—partners who believe in building enduring wealth, not chasing fleeting trends.
